The MV Monte Rosa : This Cruise Ship, from 1933 in Germany, was one of a planned fleet of 30 ships. Designed by the new government to give ordinary workers an overseas holiday, when most of the working class, prior to 1933, were lucky if they’d ever been outside their own village, when most workers were lucky if they received 3 days paid leave per year ; if any paid leave at all that is. (that’s “democracy” and “capitalism” for you) By the way, make sure those ships are blocked to birthing in any British port - we don’t want those working class plebs getting uppity in The Sceptred Isle, getting the funny idea that the government actually might care for ordinary people!

Empire Windrush : If this next ship looks a lot like the MV Monte Rosa, that’s because it is the Monte Rosa. Given a nice new coat of paint after being stolen “War Prized” by Britain after the defeat of Germany in 1945, the ship was used to begin the demographic erasure of the British people - ferrying the first 800 Carribean immigrants to England’s green and pleasant land.

New Immigrants
There was an old sailor’s superstition - renaming a ship might anger the Gods and bring bad luck.
Prophetic?
